How to set-up an Ejari?


"Demystifying the Process: A Step-by-Step Guide on How to Set Up Your Ejari in Dubai"


"Ejari," meaning "my rent" in Arabic.


In 2010, the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) launched the Ejari system to oversee and regulate Dubai's rental market. According to Law 26 of 2007, mandated by RERA, the registration of Ejari has become a compulsory requirement.


Ejari is more than a registration system; it's a commitment to a fair and regulated environment for property owners and tenants.


There are two ways in which to set up your Ejari, online or at the typing centre.

To set up your Ejari at the typing centre, you will need to take printed copies of:

-        Title Deed of property

-        Signed Tenancy Contract & Addendum

-        Landlord’s Passport, Visa & Emirates ID

-        Your Passport, Visa & Emirates ID

- Trade License (if its commercial lease) Note: Additional documents may require such as, Power of Attorney (POA) of representative, Unified Copy of Tenancy Contract.


Real Estate Service Trustees Centre (Typing Center) Locations:

  • Al Barsha Mall

  • Al Manara Centre

  • Oud Metha

  • Port Saeed

  • Zabeel


Typing Centers working hours:

Sunday to Friday: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

Fridays: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm


Kindly confirm the precise center hours prior to your visit. For additional inquiries, reach out to the Dubai Land Department (DLD) at +971-800-4488, from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – till 3:30 pm only.


To set up or renew your Ejari online, the government provides multiple service channels:

-        Dubai Rest App (Download the app here)

-        Dubai Now App (Download the app here)

-        Dubai Land Department's website (Ejari system)


Breakdown Cost of Ejari Registration/Renewal online:

-        Ejari Registration (AED100)

-        Knowledge Fee (AED10)

-        Innovation Fee (AED10)

Note: Fees may varies if its through a real estate trustee center with the additional services charges of AED100.
